OpenAI is venturing into the job market with a new AI-driven hiring platform set to debut in mid-2026. The service, dubbed OpenAI Jobs Platform, aims to disrupt Microsoft's LinkedIn by leveraging advanced AI models to optimize candidate-employer matching.

The initiative reflects OpenAI's strategic expansion beyond Core AI research. Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications, emphasized the platform's mission to bridge the AI talent gap, targeting enterprises, SMEs, and governments. A complementary certification program through OpenAI Academy will launch in late 2025, offering tiered credentials in AI proficiency.
